Blog tour - Oh, Henry - Morgen Bailey

Oh, Henry is definitely what it says from the outset - 'For the young in all of us' and I loved every single page.

Henry is a nineteen month old Jack Russell and despite his tiny stature, he's a huge part of the team at Forsyth Medical Research Sciences, who are researching a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. What makes Henry such a big part of the team is the fact that, as a result of the medication he's been given . . . he can talk!

Henry is content with his life at the lab, being looked after by lab assistant Gwynne and being able to venture out into the grounds twice a day in return for answering question and helping Dr Moss and Gwynne with their research. One night though his sleep is disturbed by an intruder and shortly after that he is kidnapped.

Oh, Henry is an absolute treasure of a tale, or should that be tail? Being a huge dog lover, I'm a sucker for a shaggy dog story and this one was pure brilliance. Henry was everything I imagined a talking dog would be and more!

I loved his cheeky sense of humour and fast wit along with his puzzlement over the English language, something which I think most of us find ourselves questioning from time to time.

This is definitely a book for every member of the family to enjoy from young to old. It's a fabulous start to a series that I'm really excited to find out what the lovable Henry gets up to next.
